1995 San Diego Chargers Season
The 1995 San Diego Chargers season was the team's 36th, its 26th in the National Football League (NFL), and its 35th in San Diego. The season began with the team as reigning AFC champions and trying to improve on their 11–5 record in 1994. After starting 4–7, the Chargers won their final five games to get into the playoffs. It ended in the first round with a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. That game would mark the last time the Chargers would make the playoffs until the 2004 season - by then, only long snapper David Binn remained from the 1995 roster. While most of the offensive starters returned from the Super Bowl run were back, the Chargers slipped down the rankings for both passing and rushing. AFC West
The American Football Conference – Western Division or AFC West is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division comprises the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers. Natrone Means
Natrone Jermaine Means (born April 26, 1972) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers from 1993 to 2000. He was selected by the Chargers in the second round (41st overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft. In 1994, he was selected to the Pro Bowl during San Diego's Super Bowl season. He is a member of the San Diego Chargers 50th Anniversary Team. Means was nicknamed Natrone "Refried" Means and, later, "Natrone Means Business" by ESPN's Chris Berman, He is currently an assistant coach at North Carolina. Terrell Fletcher
Terrell Antoine Fletcher (born September 14, 1973) is a former American football running back in the National Football League, spending his entire 8-year professional football career as running back for the San Diego Chargers. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he played football as running back for the Wisconsin Badgers, Rose Bowl Champions in 1994. In 1995, Terrell was named MVP in the Hall of Fame Outback Bowl. With the Chargers, Terrell rushed for 1,871 yards and gained 1,943 yards receiving, leading all Charger running backs in receptions for five consecutive seasons, from 1996-2000. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Andre Clintonian Coleman (born September 19, 1972) is an American football coach and former player. He played professionally for five seasons as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Diego Chargers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Coleman attended Hickory High School in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, playing on the AAA state championship team. He played College football at Kansas State University. Rodney Scott Harrison (born December 15, 1972) is an American former American football, football safety (gridiron football position), safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons with the San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots. Stanley Palmer Richard (born October 21, 1967 in Mineola, Texas) also known as the "Sheriff," is a retired American football safety in the National Football League. Richard played football at Hawkins High School in Hawkins, Texas, where he was selected as an all-state player. Richard played at the University of Texas from 1987–90, where he was an All-American safety in 1990. He was drafted 9th overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 1991 NFL Draft and played with the Chargers from 1991-94. He was signed by the Washington Redskins as an unrestricted free agent on March 10, 1995 and played with the Redskins from 1995-98. He retired following the 1998 season.
