1994 Survivor Series
The 1994 Survivor Series was the eighth annual Survivor Series professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on Wednesday, November 23, 1994, at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas, and the final edition of Survivor Series to be held on either Thanksgiving Day or Thanksgiving Eve, as all previous Survivor Series events had. Two main event matches were held; in the first, Bret Hart defended the WWF Championship against Bob Backlund in a special submission match where the only way for a wrestler to win was to have the opponent’s second throw a towel into the ring; Owen Hart, Bret's brother and Backlund's second, tricked his mother Helen Hart into throwing in the towel for Bret, which won the match and the championship for Backlund. Mark William Calaway (born March 24, 1965), better known by his ring name the Undertaker, is an American retired Professional wrestling, professional wrestler. The Hart wrestling family, sometimes known as the Hart dynasty, is a mainly Canadian family with a significant history within professional wrestling. The patriarch of the family was wrestling legend Stu Hart (1915–2003). An amateur and professional wrestling performer, promoter and trainer, Stu owned and operated his own wrestling promotion, Stampede Wrestling. World Tag Team Championship (WWE)
The World Tag Team Championship is a men's professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, defended on the Raw brand division. It is one of two male tag team championships for WWE's main roster, along with the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown. The current champions are The New Day ( Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), who are in their record fifth reign as a team. Theodore Marvin DiBiase Sr. (; born January 18, 1954) is an American retired professional wrestler, manager, and color commentator. He is signed to WWE as of 2024, where he works in their Legends program. The Million Dollar Corporation was a professional wrestling stable in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from April 1994 to May 1996 and was led and managed by the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase had retired from active competition after a back injury in a match for All Japan Pro Wrestling in late 1993 and was brought back by the WWF as a manager. Doink the Clown is a professional wrestling gimmick originally and most popularly portrayed by Matt Borne, who debuted the Doink persona in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in 1992.
