Nottingham ( , East Midlands English, locally ) is a City status in the United Kingdom, city and Unitary authorities of England, unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, England. Andy Marriott
Andrew Marriott (born 11 October 1970) is an English-born Welsh professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. He is a journeyman player, having represented various clubs, and has also played for the Welsh national team. Football career Marriott was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield. He began his career as a trainee with Arsenal in April 1987, turning professional in October 1988. However, he never made the first team at Highbury, joining Nottingham Forest in June 1989 for a fee of £50,000. He was soon sent out on loan by Brian Clough to gain some first team experience, joining West Bromwich Albion in September 1989. Kingsley Terence Black (born 22 June 1968) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder from 1987 until 2002. He notably featured in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest, and also had spells with Luton Town and Grimsby Town where he picked up honours for both clubs. Terry Wilson (footballer, Born 1969)
Terry Wilson (born 8 February 1969) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He played at centre midfield and centre back. He played 178 first team games for Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest collecting four winners medals from finals at Wembley Stadium. He was a two time PFA Young Player of the Year nominee and played in two FA Cup semi final defeats. His senior playing career ended the month before his 24th birthday due to knee injury. Brett Williams (footballer Born 1968)
Brett Williams (born 19 March 1968) is an English former footballer who played for Hereford United, Nottingham Forest, Northampton Town, Oxford United, Stockport County and Stoke City. Career Williams started his career at Nottingham Forest having progressed through the youth ranks at the City Ground. He spent eight years at Forest as an understudy to England international left-back Stuart Pearce and made 43 appearances in the league before being released in 1993 where he entered non-league football with Arnold Town. Darren Wassall
Darren Paul James Wassall (born 27 June 1968) is an English football coach and former player who played as a defender. He was the academy director of Derby County from 2009 until 2023; he was also the club's head coach on a temporary basis during 2016. He played for Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Birmingham City and Burton Albion, and also had loan spells with Hereford United, Bury and Manchester City, making a total of 177 Football League appearances. Des Walker
Desmond Sinclair Walker (born 26 November 1965) is an English football coach and former player who played as a defender. At club level he played in seven cup finals for Nottingham Forest at Wembley, winning five of them. He was Forest's player of the year three times. On four straight occasions at Forest he was selected for the PFA Team of the Year. At Sheffield Wednesday he picked up another club player of the year accolade. He played in twenty seasons of senior football. All but the last three of those were in the top flight in either England or Italy. Carl Tiler (born 11 February 1970) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Brian Laws
Brian Laws (born 14 October 1961) is an English former professional footballer and manager. Playing as a defender, Laws made over 100 appearances for each of Burnley, Middlesbrough, and Nottingham Forest. In 1994, Laws became player-manager of Grimsby Town before taking a similar position with Scunthorpe United in 1997. For the next nine years, Laws served as manager of Scunthorpe United, guiding them to promotion twice. In 2006, he accepted the managerial role at Sheffield Wednesday, lasting three years in the job during which time Burnley approached him for their managers job when Steve Cotterill left, but were put off by the compensation demanded by Wednesday. Christopher Jonathan Hope (born 14 November 1972) is an English former footballer. Hope made over 500 appearances in the Football League for Scunthorpe United and Gillingham between 1993 and 2006. Steve Chettle
Stephen John Chettle (born 27 September 1968) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a defender from 1986 to 2005 and was best known for his time as a player at Nottingham Forest where he made 415 league appearances and played numerous seasons in the Premier League, won the League Cup and was a runner-up in the FA Cup. Despite playing most of his career in the top level of English football, Chettle never made the England squad, but came close in 1992, despite this Chettle played 12 games for the England Under-21s, captaining them in his final appearance.
