1990 FIFA World Cup
The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial Association football, football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was held from 8 June to 8 July 1990 in Italy, the second country to host the event for a second time (the first being Mexico in 1986 FIFA World Cup, 1986). Kurt Russ (born 23 November 1964) is an Austrian football coach and a former player. Club career Russ began his playing career with his home town club of FC Langenwang and later moved on to Kapfenberger SV. During his professional club career he played for First Vienna, FC Swarovski Tirol and LASK Linz. He finished his career at SC Schwanenstadt to become player/coach. International career Russ' international debut came in the 1–0 victory over Denmark on 27 April 1988. Under Josef Hickersberger's management of the Austrian national side, Russ was an almost permanent fixture appearing in the starting line ups of 27, out of a possible 31, internationals. Ernst Aigner (born 31 October 1966 in Mödling) is a retired Austrian footballer. Club career A tall central defender, Aigner made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga for Admira/Wacker in 1986 and finished runner-up to Swarovski Tirol with Admira in the 1988–89 season. Admira would also reach the Austrian Cup Final that season. His best season with Admira earned him a move to Austrian giants Austria Wien with whom he won 3 championships and 3 cups. Klaus Lindenberger (born 28 May 1957) is an Austrian former football player and coach. A goalkeeper, he played for LASK, FC Swarovski Tirol and FC Stahl Linz. As a coach he managed Austrian Bundesliga side LASK. Andrea Carnevale (; born 12 January 1961) is an Italian former footballer who played as a forward. Early life Carnevale was born to Gaetano and Filomena Carnevale as one of the seven children. As a child, he learned to be a carpenter in Monte San Biagio to bring money home. On an improvised field, Carnevale played football with his brothers, Enzo and Germano.
