1981–82 Inter Milan Season
The 1981–82 Inter Milan season was Inter Milan, Football Club Internazionale Milano's 73rd in existence and 66th consecutive season in the top flight of Football in Italy, Italian football. Season The 1981–82 season saw Inter win the Coppa Italia, the second in four years and the third overall. The final opponent was Torino F.C., Torino, which were beaten 1–0 in first leg and drew 1–1 in the second. Inter showed some new faces, such as the young Giuseppe Bergomi and Riccardo Ferri (both born in 1963), Salvatore Bagni and Aldo Serena, who returned after several loans. Inter also reached the round of 32 in UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup - giving up in front of Dinamo Bucharest during overtime - and achieved fifth place in the 1981–82 Serie A, domestic league, but the triumph in the Coppa Italia resulted in a qualification for the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Gabriele "Lele" Oriali (; born 25 November 1952) is an Italian former professional footballer who primarily played as a defensive midfielder but also played as a right-back, who is currently sports coordinator at Serie A club Napoli. Gianpiero Marini (; born 25 February 1951) is an Italian former professional football manager and player, who played as a midfielder. A strong and hard-working defensive midfielder, Marini played for several Italian clubs throughout his career, in particular Internazionale, where he won a Serie A title and two Coppa Italia titles during his 11 seasons with the club. Ivano Bordon (; born 13 April 1951) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his career he was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Italy, and had a successful career playing for several Italian clubs.
