1980–81 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship
The 1980–81 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 11th season of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier club hurling tournament. The All-Ireland series began on 12 April 1981 and ended on 17 May 1981. Castlegar GAA, Castlegar were the 1979–80 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, defending champions, however, they failed to qualify. Ballyhale Shamrocks GAA, Ballyhale Shamrocks won the title after defeating St. Finbarr's GAA, St. Finbarr's by 1-15 to 1-11 in the final. Richie Reid
Richard "Richie" Reid (born 1956) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a wing-back for the Kilkenny and Dublin senior teams. Born in Ballyhale, County Kilkenny, Reid first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of nineteen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny under-21 team. He made his senior debut during the 1978 championship. Reid immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal and two Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Reid is a one-time All-Ireland medallist with Ballyhale Shamrocks. In addition to this he has also won one Leinster medal and two championship medals. With Faughs Reid won two championship medals. His nephew, T. J. Reid, is a seven time All-Ireland medallist with Kilkenny. Throughout his career Reid made 11 championship appearances. His retirement came following the conclusion of the 1989 championship. Roscrea GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the North Tipperary Board and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. History Located in the town of Roscrea, on the Tipperary-Offaly border, Roscrea GAA Club was founded in 1895. The club spent most of its early existence operating in the junior grade in the various North Tipperary competitions. Roscrea had their breakthrough success in 1936 when the club claimed their first North Tipperary SHC title. Roscrea's breakthrough at county level came when the club won three successive Tipperary SHC titles between 1968 and 1970. The club also claimed back-to-back Munster Club SHC titles at this time. Trim () is a town in County Meath, Ireland. It is situated on the River Boyne and, as of the 2022 census of Ireland, 2022 census, had a population of 9,563. Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship
The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Leinster GAA, Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion senior clubs in the province of Leinster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious club competition in Leinster hurling. Sarsfields Galway is a GAA club consisting of the parish of Bullaun, New Inn and Woodlawn in east County Galway, Ireland. Winners of two All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship's. The club was founded in 1966 and is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. Sarsfields Galway were the first club to defend their All-Ireland Club Hurling title. Markievicz Park () is the principal GAA stadium in County Sligo, Ireland, home to the Sligo Gaelic football and hurling teams.
