Laurie Cholewa, (born 25 October 1980) is a French television and radio host. Biography She was born into a family of Polish and Ashkenazi Jewish descent, Cholewa holds a master's degree in Business Law from the Sorbonne. Career After debuting on Ciné Cinéma, alongside Laurent Weil, Pierre Zeni and Didier Lupfer, she started on Direct 8 in March 2005. On this emerging channel, she presented the shows ''TNT Show, Ça tourne'' and '' L'École des stars''. She is also a columnist in the show ''Morandini!'' In 2010, she joined the France Televisions group, to host of a new variety program, ''Encore une chanson'', the first of which was broadcast live in prime time on France 2 on Saturday, 24 April 2010. It has now become the customary French title of respect and term of address for a French-speaking man, corresponding to such English titles as Mr. or sir. History Under the Ancien Régime, the court title of Monsieur referred to the next brother in the line of succession of the King of France. It was always used for referring to the prince, not as a style. The Kings' brothers were addressed as Monseigneur or Royal Highness. ''1, rue Sésame'' (translates to: 1 Sesame Street) is a French children's television series based on the popular U.S. children's program ''Sesame Street''. The show first aired on 3 April 1978, at 6:00 a.m. on TF1. Its musical director was Roger Elcourt, composer Jean Morlier. The series was executive produced by Michel Berthier from TF1 and Lutrelle Horne from CTW. The show ran for a total of 82 episodes and ceased production in June 1982. Season 1 (1978-1979) The 1st season featured Toccata and Mordicus, as well as a cast of four adults (Roger, Odile, Clémence and Maxime) and two children, Fabienne and Rodrigue. Each of the characters (except for Odile who had a leitmotif and the two aforementioned children) had their own signature song, along with two duets (by Toccata/Mordicus and Roger/Clémence) and an occasional closing "street anthem" sung by the entire cast. ''30 millions d'amis'' (English: "30 Million Friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mouse, mice, Domestic canary, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. ''Aujourd'hui'' (, ''Today'') was a daily newspaper in Vichy France published between 1940 and 1944 in Paris. It was founded by journalist Henri Jeanson, who edited the publication during the autumn of 1940. After Jeanson was arrested and forced out as editor for not being sufficiently pro-Vichy, he was replaced by managing editor Georges Suarez, who four years later became the first public figure in post-liberation France to be tried for treason and executed as a collaborationist. Background During the exodus of 1940, Paris newspapers had ceased publication, with several prominent dailies such as ''Le Temps'', ''Le Figaro'', and '' Paris-Match'' refusing to return to the German-occupied zone despite reassurances.
