Renault 14
The Renault 14 is a small family car produced by the French manufacturer Renault between 1976 and 1983. It was first shown in January 1976 with production beginning in June of that year. It was the first car to be produced in large volumes at the company's then new plant at Douai, although small pilot runs of the Renault 5 had preceded the 14's production in the factory. History Featuring front wheel drive, the 14 was developed to compete in the small family hatchback sector, which had been popularized by the launch of the Volkswagen Golf in 1974. Initially, the 14 was available in L and TL trim levels with a 1.2 L single overhead camshaft engine and later 1.4 L versions with (R14 GTL) or (R14 TS) joined the line-up. Lilian Jégou (born 20 January 1976 in Nantes) is a French road racing cyclist. Jégou made his professional debut in 2002 when he signed for Crédit Agricole as stagiaire. A year later he would make his Tour de France debut, but withdrew after stage 8 which led to l'Alpe d'Huez. In 2005 he made his second giant tour appearance when he took part in the Giro d'Italia and finished in 98th position at the arrival in Milan. After several second and third places he won his first race in 2006. In Kango, Gabon he won the second stage of the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo. Lucien Van Impe
Lucien Van Impe (; born 20 October 1946) is a former Belgian cyclist, who competed professionally between 1969 and 1987. He excelled mainly as a climber in multiple-day races such as the Tour de France. He was the winner of the 1976 Tour de France, and six times winner of the mountains classification in the Tour de France. Biography Van Impe credits the start of his career to Spaniard Federico Bahamontes, a climber nicknamed ''the eagle of Toledo'' and a former Tour de France winner. In 1968 van Impe was King of the Mountains in the Tour de l'Avenir. Bahamontes used his influence to get van Impe a contract as a professional. In 1969, Van Impe started his professional career with a 12th place in the 1969 Tour de France. In 1971, Van Impe won his first mountains classification in the Tour de France. The 1976 Tour de France was the 63rd edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. It took between 24 June and 18 July, with 22 stages covering a distance of . It was won by mountain specialist Lucien Van Impe in a battle with the previous winner Bernard Thévenet and Joop Zoetemelk. Zoetemelk won three high mountain stages including Alpe d'Huez and Puy-de-Dôme but this Tour became known for when the young directeur sportif of Van Impe, Cyrille Guimard, threatened to run Van Impe off the road with the Team Car if he didn't attack.
