1958 FIFA World Cup Qualification (CCCF And NAFC)
The 1958 FIFA World Cup qualification for North, Central America and the Caribbean serves as the preliminary tournament for the region. Six teams entered the tournament to compete for one place in the final tournament. Format There were two rounds of play: *First Round: The 6 teams were divided into 2 groups with 3 teams each (Group 1 with teams from North America and Group 2 with teams from Central America and Caribbean). Crescencio Gutiérrez
Crescencio Gutiérrez Aldana (born 26 October 1933) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Gutiérrez, nicknamed "Mellone", due to his similarity both physically and in his style of play to Paraguayan striker Atilio Mellone, made his professional debut in 1950 at the age of 17 with Guadalajara. During his career at Guadalajara, he was part of the ''Campeonísimo'', winning five Primera División titles ( 1956–57, 1958–59, 1959–60, 1960–61 and 1961–62). Gutiérrez later played for Morelia and Atlas. Varsity Stadium is an outdoor collegiate football stadium located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is home to the Toronto Varsity Blues, the athletic teams of the University of Toronto. Harry Keough
Harry Joseph Keough (November 15, 1927 – February 7, 2012) was an American soccer defender who played on the United States national team in their 1–0 upset of England at the 1950 FIFA World Cup. He spent most of his club career in his native St. Louis, winning a national junior championship, two National Challenge Cup and seven National Amateur Cup titles. He coached the Saint Louis University men's soccer team to five NCAA Men's Soccer Championships. Veterans Memorial Stadium (also known as Veterans Stadium, Vets Stadium or simply The Vet) is an 11,600-seat stadium located south of the Liberal Arts Campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California.
