Kurt Trampedach
Kurt Trampedach (13 May 1943 – 12 November 2013) was a Danish painter and sculptor. Biography Trampedach was born at Hillerød. He studied at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1963 to 1969. He had his artistic breakthrough by the end of the sixties. He has often made distorted self-portraits and portraits of his own wife. Portraits of horses, and of large- headed babies were other favorite motifs. His dark style was particularly inspired by Rembrandt van Rijn. Painting was a way for him to work with his own psyche, with frequent bouts of depression and mania. In 1983 Trampedach's studio in Copenhagen was set on fire destroying many paintings. In 1984 he received the Eckersberg Medal. With his wife he moved to Sare in the French Pyrenees where he lived in a house built by himself, raising animals and painting. Karen Hannover
Karen Anna Hannover née Topsøe (1872–1943) was a Danish ceramist. With no formal education in art, while in Paris in 1892–94, she was inspired to take an interest in culture by her aunt, the painter Anna Petersen. This led to contacts with the artist Jens Ferdinand Willumsen and the poet Sophus Claussen. In 1897, she married the art historian Emil Hannover who took a special interest in ceramics. After spending several years raising a family, in 1910 she began to experiment with ceramics, participating in Landsforeningen Dansk Kunsthaandværk's exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design, Museum of Decorative Art in 1912. Thanks to her concern for quality, she went on to create white glazed faience works, sparsely tinted in green. Her jars and bowls were decorated with leafy vines, flowers and fruits, in some cases taking the form of fruits themselves. Birthe Johanne Sparrevohn Rønn Hornbech (born 18 October 1943 in Copenhagen) is a Danish politician, member of the Folketing (the national parliament of Denmark) for Venstre, the liberal party, elected in the constituency of Køge, and former Minister for Refugees, Immigrants and Integration and for Ecclesiastical Affairs. Hornbech graduated as ''cand.jur.'' ( Master of Laws) from the University of Copenhagen in 1971. After that, she worked as a clerk at the Police and in 1981 she was promoted to deputy police commissioner. She was first elected to the Folketing in 1984. Margrethe Winkel Agger (born 13 August 1943) is a Danish textile artist, tapestry weaver and graphic designer. After a study trip to Mexico, she gained success in 1977 after exhibiting 26 works at the Danish Design Museum. From 1977 to 1994, she was an instructor at the Danish Handicraft Guild until 1994 and has also taught at the Albertslund Art School. Her recent tapestries express nature and animals in her own colourful narrative style. She is particularly active in Odsherred where she has lived since 1985. Rasmussen was Prime Minister of Denmark from 25 January 1993 to 27 November 2001 and President of the Party of European Socialists (PES) from 2004 to 2011.
