1914 Copa Del Rey
The Copa del Rey 1914 was the 14th staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The Royal Spanish Football Federation took complete control of the cup tournament and decided that the clubs of the existing regional championship would qualify for the national cup championship; no free entry would be permitted anymore. Apart from some exception, the elimination rounds were played in two matches (home and away) from this season onwards. The competition started on 29 March 1914, and concluded on 10 May 1914, with the Final, held at the Estadio de Costorbe in Irun, in which Athletic Bilbao lifted the trophy for the 5th time ever with a 2–1 victory over España de Barcelona with Severino Zuazo netting both goals for Bilbao. Real Unión Club, S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in Irun, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, in the province of Gipuzkoa, near the border with France. Eulogio Uribarri León (10 October 1894 – 8 March 1972), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Sociedad Gimnástica and Athletic Club de Madrid. Luis Iceta
Luis Iceta Zubiaur (21 August 1890 – 24 January 1966) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Athletic Bilbao. He is an important player in the early history of the club, where he spent the entirety of his playing career and played a pivotal role as Athletic reached five Copa del Reys finals, of which he played in three and was captain in two. He later co-directed three matches for the Spanish national team between 1950 and 1951. Rafael Moreno Aranzadi (23 May 1892 – 1 March 1922), known as Pichichi, was a Spanish Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward.
