17 Again (song)
"17 Again" is a song by British pop duo Eurythmics from their eighth studio album, ''Peace'' (1999). It was released as the album's second single on 24 January 2000. The lyrics to "17 Again" find the duo reminiscing about their long-standing career in pop music. The closing of "17 Again" contains an interpolation of Eurythmics' 1983 single "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)". "17 Again" peaked at number 27 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the duo's 23rd UK top-40 hit. In the United States, the single was serviced to adult contemporary radio outlets while promotional-only remixes were issued for nightclubs. "17 Again" became the first Eurythmics song to reach number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart. Eurythmics were a British New wave music, new wave duo formed in 1980, consisting of Scottish vocalist Annie Lennox and English musician and producer Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Dave Stewart. They were both previously in the Tourists, a band that broke up in 1980. They released their first studio album, ''In the Garden (Eurythmics album), In the Garden'', in 1981 to little success, but achieved global acclaim with their second album, ''Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) (album), Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)'' (1983). Thunderpuss is the (mainly dance) remix/ production team of Los Angeles–based music producers Barry Harris and Chris Cox. Harris had previously worked as part of several music groups including Kon Kan, Top Kat, Killer Bunnies and Outta Control and had also released several solo singles himself. Cox, a musician and DJ, had also worked for years as a DJ and producer, producing a megamix of Paula Abdul songs, among other things, and started his own record label, Interhit Records, with Jeff Johnson. History Harris and Cox originally met in New York City in 1990 while Harris was recording '' Syntonic'', Kon Kan's second album.
