140th Separate Special Purpose Regiment (Ukraine)
140th Separate Special Operations Regiment is a NATO certified regiment of the Ukrainian SOF. It is one of the most covert and secretive units within the Ukrainian SOF. It was established in 2007 and operates as an all officer regiment participating in covert operations. In 2009, it became a part of NATO Response Force. History Establishment The 140th Regiment was established in 2007 on the basis of the 8th Special Purpose Regiment in Khmelnytskyi, consisting of 70 personnel in the beginning with the following tasks: * Ambushes * Raiding from across the front lines * Sabotage * Coordination of Partisans * Establishment of a military occupation government Initially it was to be used in operations against piracy off the coast of Somalia. Special Operations Forces (Ukraine)
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (, abbreviated ) are the special forces of Ukraine and one of the eight Military branch, branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with headquarters in Kyiv. The SSO has the roles including various special forces-related duties such as direct action, special reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, sabotage and psychological warfare. They are not the only Special forces of Ukraine, special forces units in Ukraine. The SSO was created in 2016, after various reforms of the Ukrainian Armed Forces due to failures in the war in Donbas. GAZelle
A gazelle is one of many antelope species in the genus ''Gazella'' . There are also seven species included in two further genera; '' Eudorcas'' and '' Nanger'', which were formerly considered subgenera of ''Gazella''. A third former subgenus, '' Procapra'', includes three living species of Asian gazelles. Gazelles are known as swift animals. Some can run at bursts as high as or run at a sustained speed of . Borodyanka
Borodianka (, ) is a rural settlement in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of , one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Hostomel
Hostomel (, ) is a Rural settlement#Ukraine, rural settlement in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. It is located northwest of the capital Kyiv. It hosts the administration of Hostomel settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The town is mainly known for Hostomel Airport, also known as Antonov Airport, a major international cargo facility. There is also a Vetropack glass factory in Hostomel. Bucha (, ) is a city in Ukraine's Kyiv Oblast. Administratively, it serves as the administrative center of Bucha Raion.
