13th Street (TV Channel)
13th Street (France: 13ème Rue, Spain: Calle 13 and Poland: 13 Ulica) is a television channel specializing in action, suspense and police procedural programs and movies, mainly from the Universal Pictures and Television libraries. It is owned by NBCUniversal and was inaugurated in France in 1997, quickly adding local versions across Europe and Australia. The channel changed its name to ''13th Street Universal'' in the early 2010s like ’’Syfy Universal’’. 13th Street was an Australian television channel which specialised in airing action and suspense programmes. The channel was owned by NBCUniversal and was launched on 15 November 2009 as part of Foxtel's Next Generation launch. It launched on Fetch TV in 2017 as part of Fetch TV's channel pack revamp. The same business that runs 13th Street in other nations also owned 13th Street in Australia. It was the first 13th Street to use the new logo, which Universal Networks International debuted at MIPCOM in October 2009 On 3 November 2014, 13th Street launched a HD simulcast on Foxtel. The second incarnation of the USA Network in Latin America is a channel dedicated to series and movie programming. It is owned by NBCUniversal International Networks, a division of NBCUniversal. The local version of the channel is available in Spanish and Portuguese-language feeds (for Spanish-speaking countries and for Brazil, respectively). In 2023, it was announced by NBCUniversal that the channel would be revived in Latin America during the Q4 of 2023 after 19 years of absence in the region.
