101st Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion
The 101st Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion (), known as the Sea Dragon Frogmen, is an elite special operations unit of the Republic of China Army. The members of the 101st Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion are commonly known as Sea Dragon Frogmen. The unit specializes in underwater, amphibious, and coastal reconnaissance operations. They have a role analogous to that of the US Navy Seals. Along with other Taiwanese special operations forces they are expected to play a key role in any conflict with China. Republic Of China Army
The Republic of China Army (ROCA), previously known as the Chinese Nationalist Army or Nationalist Revolutionary Army and unofficially as the Taiwanese Army, is the largest branch of the Republic of China Armed Forces. An estimated 80% of the ROC Army is located on Taiwan, while the remainder are stationed on the Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha and Taiping Islands. Airborne Special Service Company
The Airborne Special Service Company (ASSC; ), alternatively known as the Liang Shan Special Operations Company (), is an elite special forces unit belonging to the Republic of China Army (Taiwan Army). The ASSC is the most elite unit in Taiwan, they are reportedly based in Taiwan Pingtung County and tasked with carrying out special operations, including decapitation strikes in the event of a war. The Amphibious Reconnaissance and Patrol Unit (ARP) () is an elite special operations component of the Republic of China Marine Corps. Overview ARP members are known as frogmen and have a similar mission set to the United States Navy SEALs. The entire ROC Marine Corps is considered an elite force, and the ARP is the most elite unit within the Marines. The ARP operates both reconnaissance and underwater demolition teams. Republic of China Military Police Special Services Company (MPSSC; ; Code-named: ''Night Hawks'') is a unit of the military police of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Armed (May, 1941–1964) was an American Thoroughbred gelding race horse who was the American Horse of the Year in 1947 and Champion Older Male Horse in both 1946 and 1947.
