A prime meridian is an arbitrarily chosen meridian (geography), meridian (a line of longitude) in a geographic coordinate system at which longitude is defined to be 0°. The zeroth law of thermodynamics is one of the four principal laws of thermodynamics. It provides an independent definition of temperature without reference to entropy, which is defined in the second law. The law was established by Ralph H. The zero-length launch system or zero-length take-off system (ZLL, ZLTO, ZEL, ZELL) is a PTOL method whereby jet fighters and attack aircraft could be near-vertically launched using rocket motors to rapidly gain speed and altitude, in particular for point-defence roles. Such rocket boosters were limited to a short burn duration, were typically solid-fuel and suitable for only a single use. They were intended to drop away once expended. The majority of ZELL experiments, which including the conversion of several front-line combat aircraft for trialing the system, occurred during the 1950s amid the formative years of the Cold War. Zero Lift Axis
A cambered aerofoil generates no lift when it is moving parallel to an axis called the zero-lift axis (or the zero-lift line.) When the angle of attack on an aerofoil is measured relative to the zero-lift axis it is true to say the lift coefficient is zero when the angle of attack is zero. For this reason, on a cambered aerofoil the zero-lift line is better than the chord line when describing the angle of attack. When symmetric aerofoils are moving parallel to the chord line of the aerofoil, zero lift is generated. However, when cambered aerofoils are moving parallel to the chord line, lift is generated. Zero-lift Drag Coefficient
In aerodynamics, the zero-lift drag coefficient C_ is a dimensionless parameter which relates an aircraft's zero-lift drag force to its size, speed, and flying altitude. Mathematically, zero-lift drag coefficient is defined as C_ = C_D - C_, where C_D is the total drag coefficient for a given power, speed, and altitude, and C_ is the lift-induced drag coefficient at the same conditions. Thus, zero-lift drag coefficient is reflective of parasitic drag which makes it very useful in understanding how "clean" or streamlined an aircraft's aerodynamics are. For example, a Sopwith Camel biplane of World War I which had many wires and bracing struts as well as fixed landing gear, had a zero-lift drag coefficient of approximately 0.0378.
