''České nebe'' (English: Czech Heaven) is a stage play from the repertoire of Jára Cimrman Theatre, sub-titled ''Cimrman's Dramatic Testament''. The authors are Zdeněk Svěrák and Ladislav Smoljak and like co-author is presented fictional Czech gadgeteer, philosopher and dramatic Jára Cimrman. The play premiered on 28 October 2008 in the Žižkov Theatre of Jára Cimrman. The play was nominated in the Alfréd Radok Awards in 2008. Jára Cimrman
Jára Cimrman or Jára da Cimrman (officially Jaroslav Cimrman) (), also known as "the Master", is a fictional Czech polymath, created by Ladislav Smoljak, and Zdeněk Svěrák. The fictional personality is presented as a universal genius, and one of the greatest Czech playwrights, poets, composers, teachers, travellers, philosophers, inventors, detectives, mathematicians, and sportsmen of the 19th and early 20th century. Playing along with the pretence of his real existence is part of his characterization. Cimrman made his first appearance on a regular radio programme ''Nealkoholická vinárna U Pavouka'' ("The Non-Alcoholic Wine Bar chez Spider") on 23 December 1966. Although the character was originally meant to be a modest caricature of the Czech people, history, and culture, he became an immensely popular protagonist of modern Czech folklore, and an ersatz national hero. Lech, Czech And Rus
Lech, Czech and Rus (, ) refers to a founding legend of three Slavic brothers who founded three Slavic peoples: the Polish people, Poles, the Czechs, and the Rus' people, Rus' (Belarusians, Russians, Rusyns, and Ukrainians). The three legendary brothers appear together in the ''Wielkopolska Chronicle'', compiled in the early 14th century. Miroslav Tyrš (born Friedrich Emanuel Tirsch, in Czech: Bedřich Tyrš; 17 September 1832 – 8 August 1884) was a Czechs, Czech philosopher, Art history, art historian, sports organizer and together with Jindřich Fügner the cofounder of the Sokol movement. Johann Josef Wenzel Anton Franz Karl, Graf Radetzky von Radetz (2 November 1766 – 5 January 1858) was a Czech nobleman and Austrian field marshal. He served as chief of the general staff in the Habsburg monarchy during the later period of the Napoleonic Wars and proved instrumental in the allied victory as one of the primary architects of the Trachenberg Plan and the Leipzig Campaign. Wenceslaus I ( ; 907 – 28 September 935), Wenceslas I or ''Václav the Good'' was the Prince ('' kníže'') of Bohemia from 921 until his death, probably in 935. According to the legend, he was assassinated by his younger brother, Boleslaus the Cruel. Alfréd Radok Awards
The Alfréd Radok Awards (''Ceny Alfréda Radoka'') were presented annually by the Endowment for the Alfréd Radok Awards in collaboration with the theatre and literary agency Aura-Pont and the magazine ''Svět a Divadlo'' (The World and Theatre) for achievements in Czech theatre, starting in 1992. The category of Best Performance was the first created. In 1995, the categories Best Play, Best Stage Design, Talent of the Year, Theatre of the Year, Best Actor, and Best Actress were created.
