Özcan Alper
Özcan Alper (born 1975) is a Turkish film director and screenwriter of Hemshin peoples, Hemshin descent. He studied at Trabzon Lisesi. In 1992, he moved to Istanbul to study at Istanbul University Engineering Faculty in the Physics Department and then moved to Istanbul University Literature Faculty where he studied History of Sciences and graduated in 2003. Since 1996, he was interested in films and took part in workshops organized by Mezopotamya Culture Center, the Nâzım Culture House (now renamed Nâzım Hikmet Culture Center). Starting 2000 started assisting in films under the supervision of film director Yeşim Ustaoğlu. After being assistant director in the short ''Toprak'', he filmed ''Momi'' as his first short film as main director. He also shot the documentary ''Tokai City'de Melankoli ve Rapsodi'' in Japan following it with yet another documentary entitled ''Bir Bilimadamıyla Zaman Enleminde Yolculuk''. Ali Kemal Özcan (born 1959)is a Turkish academic and lecturer at the Munzur University in Tunceli. He is known for his research regarding the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and its leader Abdullah Öcalan. Education and early life Özcan was born on the 20 May 1959 in the Kardere village of Tunceli province in 1959. He attended high school in Elazig, from where he graduated in 1976. He enrolled in to the Faculty of communications of the Marmara University where he obtained a B.Sc in 1982. In 1995 he began to study political philosophy at the University of Kent from where he obtained a M.Sc in 1997 during which he went and stayed in Damascus for one month (July 1996), and interviewed Abdullah Ocalan in length. Ramazan Özcan ( born 28 June 1984) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, mainly for his first club Austria Lustenau as well as German club FC Ingolstadt 04. Roberto Mancini (; born 27 November 1964) is an Italian football manager and former player who was most recently the head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team. As a player, Mancini operated as a deep-lying forward, and was best known for his time at Sampdoria, where he played more than 550 matches, and helped the team win their first Serie A league title, four Coppa Italia titles, and the European Cup Winners' Cup. Macit Özcan, (born 1954 in Karataş, Adana Province, Turkey) is a Turkish politician of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and a former mayor of Mersin. After his secondary education in Adana, he graduated in civil engineering from Çukurova University. He went on to work as a civil engineer in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. He has lived in Mersin since 1980. He was elected Mayor of Mersin in 1999. He successfully stood for a third term in the March 2009 election.
