''Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki'' (English: ''As Time Goes By'') is a Turkish drama television series directed by Zeynep Günay Tan that broadcast on Kanal D for three seasons from 2010 to 2013. Set in 1960s Istanbul, it is a melodrama revolving around the Akarsu family whose patriarch, ship captain Ali (played by Erkan Petekkaya), who is married to Cemile (played by Ayça Bingöl), starts an affair with a foreign woman (played by Wilma Elles). ''As Time Goes By'' was one of the most popular television series in Turkey during its run and has been dubbed in over 30 languages and broadcast worldwide. Zeynep Günay Tan
Zeynep Günay Tan (born 1975) is a Turkish director. She noticed her interest in cinema and television during her high school years. She began her theatre training in Italy but returned to Turkey without completing her education. She eventually majored in the Italian Language and Literature. She started working in television sets since her early years at the university. She worked as an assistant for Kartal Tibet, and later became an assistant director to Ziya Öztan, Ömer Kavur and Çağan Irmak. In 2005, she directed her first TV series ''Güz Yangını'', followed by ''Eşref Saati'' in 2007. In 2009, due to her contract with a production company, she directed ten episodes of ''Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu''. In 2010, she began directing her first long-term drama series ''Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki''. Erkin Koray
Mustafa Erkin Koray (; 24 June 1941 – 7 August 2023) was a Turkish singer and guitarist who mainly played Anatolian rock. Life and career Koray was active in the Turkish rock music scene since the late 1950s. In 1967, he released his first single, "Anma Arkadaş". In the early 1970s, he formed the group Ter with former members of the band Bunalım. They only recorded one single, "Hor Görme Garibi", before breaking up. In 1973, his first solo album, ''Erkin Koray'', was issued. He left Istanbul Records after the release, and in 1974, signed with Doglan Records, which released his '' dabke'' single "Şaşkın".
