École Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande ( English: ''New School of the French-speaking Switzerland'') or ENSR International School is a private, co-educational boarding school, founded in 1906 and located in Lausanne, Switzerland. It has approximately 600 students and boarding facilities for students aged 12 and above. It is a secular school with educational programmes from kindergarten to the final year of high school offering a programme in French with English or a programme in English with French. Ananda Mahidol
Ananda Mahidol (20 September 19259 June 1946) was the eighth Monarchy of Thailand, king of Siam (later Thailand) from the Chakri dynasty, titled Rama VIII. At the time he was recognised as king by the National Assembly of Thailand, National Assembly in March 1935, he went to Switzerland when he was nine years-old. He returned to Thailand in December 1945, but six months later, in June 1946, he was found shot dead in his bed. Although at first thought to have been an accident, his death was ruled a murder by medical examiners, and three royal aides were later executed following very irregular trials. Robert Piguet (1898 – 1953) was a Swiss-born, Paris-based fashion designer who is mainly remembered for training Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy. The Piguet fashion house ran from 1933 to 1951; since then, the brand Robert Piguet has been associated exclusively with fragrances. Early life and education Piguet was born in Yverdon-les-Bains in Switzerland, in 1898, according to the Swiss Fashion Museum, the Musée suisse de la Mode, which holds his archives, although many other sources give an alternative birth year of 1901. Kurt Martin (31 January 1899 – 27 January 1975) was a German art historian. His career began in 1927 as curator of the . From 1934 to 1956, he was director of the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, Staatlichen Kunsthalle Karlsruhe (National Art Gallery Karlsruhe). In 1940 he was appointed Head of the Municipal Museums of Strasbourg as well as Chief Commissioner of the Alsace, Alsatian Museums. Iosif Leonidovich Prut (; 6 November 1900 – 16 July 1996) was a Russian playwright and the first Soviet screenwriter. Prut was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1983). Biography Iosif Prut was born on November 18, 1900, in the city of Taganrog, in the Don Host Oblast of the Russian Empire. In 1901 his immediate family were diagnosed with acute tuberculosis and they travelled to Leysin, Switzerland, for a treatment in a local clinic. João Carlos Marinho Homem de Mello (25 September 1935 – 17 March 2019) was a Brazilian writer and former lawyer. He was best known by the pen names João Carlos Marinho and João Carlos Marinho Silva. He authored, among other books, '' O Gênio do Crime'', his first novel published in 1969.
