Éanna O'Connor
Jack O'Connor (born 23 October 1960) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. In 2021, he was appointed manager of the senior Kerry county team, having earlier managed it over two terms in the 2000s. O'Connor played football with his local club Dromid Pearses from the 1970s until the early 2000s. As manager, he guided Kerry to four All-Ireland SFC titles: in 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2022, during three terms as manager. Early life Born in 1960 at Toorsaleen in Mastergeehy County Kerry. The youngest of nine children born to Michael and SÃle O'Connor, he was educated locally at Caslagh national school before later attending Scoil UÃ Chonaill in Cahersiveen. Páidà Ó Sé
Páidà Ó Sé (; 16 May 1955 – 15 December 2012) was an Irish Gaelic football manager and player, whose league and championship career at senior level with the Kerry county team spanned fifteen seasons from 1974 to 1988. Ó Sé is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation. Born in Ceann Trá, County Kerry, Ó Sé was named after the Kerry Gaelic footballer of the time; Paudie Sheehy. He was encouraged as a Gaelic footballer by his mother, who recognised his "raw talent" and nurtured it. As a boarder at St Brendan's College Ó Sé excelled in the sport at colleges level and won back-to-back Corn Uà Mhuirà medals, however, an All-Ireland medal remained elusive. Feale Rangers
Feale Rangers is a Divisional Gaelic football team which is made up of clubs based around the River Feale in North Kerry. The team competes in the Kerry Senior Football Championship which it has won on three occasions. History Feale Rangers were founded in 1956 as a divisional side to represent North Kerry clubs in the Kerry Senior Football Championship of that year after two earlier sides, North Kerry and Shannon Rangers joined forces. The team reached its first County Final in 1959 which they lost to John Mitchels after a replay. Their next final appearance was in 1962 and again they lost to John Mitchels in a replay. Austin Stacks is a hurling and Gaelic football club based in Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 1917, the club has more All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals and GAA All-Stars than any other Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Ireland. Kerry Senior Football Championship
The Kerry Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Garvey’s SuperValu Senior Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1889 for the top Gaelic football teams in the county of Kerry in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months, with the county final currently being played in either Austin Stack Park or FitzGerald Stadium in October. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently uses a double elimination format whereby each team is guaranteed at least two games. Moorefield GAA
Moorefield is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Newbridge County Kildare, Ireland, winner of two Leinster Club Senior Football Championships, ten Senior County Football Championships and three Senior County Hurling Championships. History Folklore records that, in 1882, two brothers, John O'Kelly of Moorefield Road and James O'Kelly of Ballymany were instrumental in forming the first football team in Newbridge. Calling themselves the JJ O'Kellys they played matches against Mountrice, Eyrefield, Monasterevin, Kildare town and Milltown. Hogan Cup
The Hogan Cup (), also known as the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior A Football Championship, is the top level Gaelic football championship for secondary schools (sometimes referred to as colleges) in Ireland. The competition itself is regularly referred to by the trophy's name. The current champions are St Patrick's College, Maghera, who won the cup for the sixth time by defeating St Colman's College in the final. St Jarlath's College, Tuam hold the record number of titles, winning their twelfth in 2002, and have appeared as runners-up in a further fourteen finals.
