Anni-Frid Lyngstad
Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad (born 15 November 1945), also known simply as Frida, is a Swedish singer who is best known as one of the founding members and lead singers of the pop band ABBA. Courtesy titles ''Principality of Reuss-Gera, Princess Reuss'' and ''Countess of Plauen'' are also in use because of her third marriage. Born in Bjørkåsen (in Ballangen Municipality), Norway, to a Norwegian mother and a German father, she grew up in Torshälla, Sweden, and started her first solo career there, as a jazz singer in 1967, through a talent competition called ''New Faces''. She won the competition with her song "En ledig dag", leading to a television appearance on ''Hylands Hörna'' on Dagen H; as a result, she was signed by EMI, and in turn was signed by Stig Anderson's record label, Polar Music, after years of releasing several singles and an album, ''Frida (album), Frida'', under the earlier record label. She then had moderate success in Sweden, as she was a contestant for Melodi ...

Djupa Andetag
''Djupa andetag'' () is the fifth album by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad (her fifth album as 'Frida'), released exclusively in the Scandinavian region by Anderson Records on 20 September 1996. Tracks from this album, "Alla Mina Bästa År", "Ögonen" and "Även En Blomma", have been remixed for '' Frida – The Mixes''. Overview Comeback and recording session As chairperson for the Swedish organisation, "Det Naturliga Steget-Artister För Miljön" ("The Natural Step-Artists For The Environment"), Frida decided to record a mature album with lyrics dealing with "inner personal environment" and the nature's surroundings. Frida's composition, "Kvinnor Som Springer" ("Women Who Run"), was inspired by the book "Women who Run with the Wolves", by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. This is one of only a few songs in her career that Frida has written herself. At the time of recording, Frida did not want the attention an international release would bring, but she also felt for singing in her mot ...

Pop Music
Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom.S. Frith, W. Straw, and J. Street, eds, ''iarchive:cambridgecompani00frit, The Cambridge Companion to Pop and Rock'' (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press), , pp. 95–105. During the 1950s and 1960s, pop music encompassed rock and roll and the youth-oriented styles it influenced. ''Rock music, Rock'' and ''pop'' music remained roughly synonymous until the late 1960s, after which ''pop'' became associated with music that was more commercial, wikt:ephemeral, ephemeral, and accessible. Identifying factors of pop music usually include repeated choruses and Hook (music), hooks, short to medium-length songs written in a basic format (often the verse–chorus form, verse–chorus structure), and rhythms or tempos that can be easily danced to. Much of pop music also borrows elements from other styles such as rock, hip hop, urban contemporary, ...

Alternative Pop
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge subgenre in the United States, and the Britpop and shoegaze subgenres in the United Kingdom and Ireland. During this period, many record labels were looking for "alternatives", as many corporate rock, hard rock, and glam metal acts from the 1980s were beginning to grow stale throughout the music industry. The emergence of Generation X as a cultural force in the 1990s also contributed greatly to the rise of alternative music. "Alternative" refers to the genre's distinction from mainstream or commercial rock or pop. The term's original meaning was broader, referring to musicians influenced by the musical style or independent, DIY ethos of late-1970s punk rock.di Perna, Alan.
