Angela Garcia Combs
Angela Joy Garcia Combs (born July 3, 1962) is an American writer and director. She studied theatre and film with a minor in women's studies at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Garcia Combs has directed theater, shorts and feature film. Throughout her career she has written and published short stories, essays and theatre criticism as well as having optioned several screenplays. Her feature film, "Nothing Special" (2010) was curated by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences for their "Permanent Core Collection" and stars Karen Black in her last starring role. "Nothing Special" received International distribution, critical acclaim and 12 festival awards, including the Best Debut Feature award at "The Female Eye," the Toronto based International film festival dedicated to films directed by women. Ángela García de Paredes Falla (born 1958) is a Spanish Architecture, architect. She founded the Paredes Pedrosa studio together with Ignacio García Pedrosa. Biography De Paredes was born in Madrid in 1958. She is the daughter of architect and María Isabel de Falla (the daughter of architect Germán de Falla and sister of composer Manuel de Falla). De Paredes earned a Licentiate (degree)#Spain, licentiate as an architect from the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM) in 1983, and an Architecture PhD from the Technical University of Madrid in 2015 with the thesis ''La arquitectura de José M. García de Paredes, ideario de una obra'' (The Architecture of José M. García de Paredes, the Ideology of a Work).
