The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad , commonly known as The Consolidated, or simply as the New Haven, was a railroad that operated principally in the New England region of the United States from 1872 to 1968. Founded by the merger of the New York and New Haven Railroad, New York and New Haven and Hartford and New Haven Railroad, Hartford and New Haven railroads, the company had near-total dominance of railroad traffic in Southern New England for the first half of the 20th century. Beginning in the 1890s and accelerating in 1903, New York banker J. P. Morgan sought to monopolize New England transportation by arranging the NH's acquisition of 50 companies, including other railroads and steamship lines, and building a network of electrified trolley lines that provided interurban transportation for all of southern New England. Noroton Heights is a village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Darien, Connecticut, United States. The community is located on Connecticut's Gold Coast. Located close to Long Island Sound, in the Connecticut panhandle, it is approximately northeast of Midtown Manhattan and immediately to the east of Stamford. As of the 2020 census, the CDP has a population of 3,116. Noroton Heights is bordered by Stamford to the west, Noroton to the south, and downtown Darien to the northeast. Nihonium is a synthetic chemical element; it has symbol Nh and atomic number 113. It is extremely radioactive: its most stable known isotope, nihonium-286, has a half-life of about 10 seconds. In baseball, a no-hitter or no-hit game is a game in which a team does not record a hit (baseball), hit through conventional methods. Rampur State was a Salute state, 15 gun-salute princely state of British Raj, British India. It came into existence on 7 October 1774 as a result of a treaty with Nawab of Oudh, Oudh. Following independence in 1947, Rampur State and other princely states of the area, such as Benares State, Benares and Garhwal Kingdom, Tehri Garhwal were merged into the United Provinces (1937–50), United Provinces. Nishan-e-Haider (NH; or 'Emblem of the Lion') is the highest military gallantry award of Pakistan. The Nishan-e-Haider is awarded only to members of the Pakistan Armed Forces. It recognises the highest acts of extraordinary bravery in the face of the enemy in air, land, or sea. It has been awarded only 11 times since Pakistan's independence in 1947.
