Interstate 66 (I-66) is a 76.32 mile east–west Interstate Highway in the East Coast of the United States, eastern United States. The highway runs from an interchange with Interstate 81 in Virginia, I-81 near Middletown, Virginia, on its western end to an interchange with U.S. Route 29 in the District of Columbia, U.S. Route 29 (US 29) in Washington, D.C., at the eastern terminus. The route parallels Virginia State Route 55, State Route 55 (SR 55) from its western terminus at I-81 to Gainesville, Virginia, Gainesville, and U.S. Route 29 in Virginia, US 29 from Gainesville to its eastern terminus in Washington. I-66 is unrelated to U.S. Route 66, US 66, which was located in the Midwest-West region of the United States. DAF 66
The DAF 66 is a small family car produced by the Dutch company DAF from September 1972 to 1976. It was the successor of the DAF 55 and was itself superseded by the reworked Volvo 66. The DAF 66 was the last four-cylinder car to feature the DAF name. The 66 was available as a 2-door saloon, a 2-door coupé and a 3-door estate. It featured the unique Variomatic belt-driven continuously variable transmission. In total 146,297 DAF 66s were built. Origins The 66 was an evolution of the 1967 DAF 55. 66 Maja () is a carbonaceous background asteroid from the central regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 71 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 9 April 1861, by American astronomer Horace Tuttle at the Harvard College Observatory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
