Random-cook responded by reverting my change and leaving a message on my talk page that I needed their permission before editing the article. IP editors refusing to follow explained guidelines

I recently performed work (diff of multiple sequential edits) to resolve a mess of genre claims in the lead and infobox on The Real Thing (Faith No More album)‎ and a series of IPs (possibly/probably the same user) is constantly reverting the page to its previous, mess, with no regard for MOS:LEAD, MOS:INFOBOXUSE, MOS:SUMMARY, WP:DUEWEIGHT or discussion on the talk page. I've tried to make these guidelines clear in edit summaries and on the talk page, but have got no reasonable response – only canned "Unexplained removal..." comments in retaliatory summaries. I am close to falling foul of 3RR myself trying to make reasonable attempts to keep the article in a properly sourced and presented state. Even fixes for simple technical fouls, like defining the same reference multiple times, are being ignored to maintain the IPs' preferred mess. Many claims were not supported by the sources etc. and so on. Honestly ... I need intervention please; I will have to unwatch and pretend it doesn't exist at this rate, and that would be a shame for the article. I've placed on all three IPs' talks. Fred Gandt ·
