Prize) (French: Prix du cinéma suisse, German: Schweizer Filmpreis, Italian: Premio del cinema svizzero, Romansh: Premi dal film svizzer) is the national film award of Switzerland, first given out in 1998.

1998 to 2008 : the Prize was given in during the Solothurn Film Festival. 2009 : the nomination night happened in Solothurn during January. Each film nominated received a cash-prize. During the beginning of March, a "glamour" ceremony, the first one of its kind, was organised in Lucerne. The prize awarded is a Cristal-like statue, called "The Quartz". 2009 was the last year where the Jury was composed of people from the Swiss state and the Federal Office of Culture. 2010 : Nomination in Solothurn again, during the Solothurn Film Festival during January.
