He is married to actress Derin Altay and has a son Alexander Gemignani from a previous marriage and a step son August from his marriage to Derin Altay. A biography of Gemignani, GEMIGNANI: Life and Lessons from Broadway and Beyond by Margaret Hall was published in May 2022 by Applause Theatre and Cinema Books.
