Located in the northern part of the county, it borders the following townships and municipalities: * Northfield - north * Macedonia - northeast * Hudson - southeast corner * Boston Heights - south * Boston Township - southwest * Sagamore Hills Township - west Several municipalities are located in what was originally part of Northfield Center Township: *A small part of the village of Boston Heights, in the southeast *The village of Northfield, in the north *Much of the city of Macedonia, in the east


Name and history

It is the only Northfield Center Township statewide.


Government

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
