(interim Laura Remmel (2013–2016); born 30 August 1988)[3][4] sometimes known professionally as simply Laura, is an Estonian singer. She is said to be the most played Estonian artist on Estonian radio in the past decade.[5] She is internationally known for representing Estonia

as part of the girl group Suntribe and did so again in 2017 in a duet with Koit Toome, singing "Verona." They came 6th from the televoting which was not enough to qualify, Laura & Koit failed to qualify being one of the favourites to qualify and even to win the contest.

Career[edit] Laura started her career in 2005, when she participated in Eurolaul 2005[6] with the song "Moonwalk". "Moonwalk" came second, but Laura won the contest as the member of the girl group Suntribe.[7] Suntribe represented Estonia

in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005,[8] but failed to advance to the final. Laura also took part at " Eurolaul 2007" for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, her entry "Sunflowers" came third.[9] In September 2007, Laura released her debut album "Muusa"[10] and started studies in Berklee College, Boston, putting her music career on hold. Her entry "Destiny" came third.[11] The same year, she released her album "Ultra".[12] In November, 2011, Laura released her first compilation album "Sädemeid taevast", which consisted of all her singles since 2005 to 2011 as well as a track from her second studio album "Ultra". Despite being a big fan favourite and seen as likely qualifiers beforehand being 5th[14] in 2nd Semi-Final by odds and 5th by OGAE voting overall.
