With the construction of a tatched-board hut as pavilion, Ahmadi became the home of cricket in Kuwait. * Doug Owen (1952) was the first to score 1000 runs in a season. 1950s: The Magnificent Merchants. A wider circle of participation and many tournaments came into being.
