. He also appears on the cast recording of the new ''Starlight Express''. He released a single from the show, "Next Time You Fall in Love." Ellis wrote a book in 2021, titled ''The Respondent: Exposing the Cartel of Family Law'' about "a first-person account of family breakdown and the social, political, and legal forces that are fuelling a national health emergency". He founded the CPU: Children and Parents United in 2021 to promote these issues.

Personal life

Ellis has been criticized for his support of former President Donald Trump, and right-wing political figures Charlie Kirk and Jordan Peterson. In May of 2020, after creating a video montage critical of the 2020 BLM protests, Ellis faced criticism from fans of the Dragon Age video game series as well as former executive producer Mark Darrah. In December of 2020, Ellis responded to the criticism with a 40-minute YouTube video in-character as the Bioware series' supporting character "Cullen". In this video, he expressed critical views on the "Black Lives Matter" and "Me Too" movements, and "cancel culture," condemning the "cancel culture hedonists" and "intellectual glitterati" which had been critical of him on social media. Ellis's political views on gender and family have been further espoused in his podcast, "The Respondent, and book "The Respondent: Exposing the Cartel of Family Law".
