History

DCB was founded in 1906 as the North Dakota State School of Forestry. In 1968 the school then was affiliated with

North Dakota State University North Dakota State University (NDSU, formally North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences) is a public land-grant research university in Fargo, North Dakota. It was founded as North Dakota Agricultural College in 1890 as t ...

and changed its name to North Dakota State University-Bottineau Branch. In 1996 the school became affiliated with Minot State University, becoming Minot State University-Bottineau Campus. It received its present name on August 1, 2009.
