Comberbach Mummers perform the traditional Soulcaking Play (a form of
mummers play
Mummers' plays are folk plays performed by troupes of amateur actors, traditionally all male, known as mummers or guisers (also by local names such as ''rhymers'', ''pace-eggers'', ''soulers'', ''tipteerers'', ''wrenboys'', and ''galoshins''). ...
), from 31 October for two weeks. It restarted in the mid-1980s. The mummers meet most Thursday evenings in The Spinner and Bergamot pub.
