On the company's 37th anniversary, Bayada Nurses rebranded as BAYADA Home Health Care in order to better encompass the organization's services and the work performed by the staff of nursing professionals. Nonprofit transition

On August 17, 2017, Mark Baiada retired as CEO of Bayada and announced that his family would gift their privately-owned business to transition into a nonprofit organization by January 2019. On the same date, Mark’s son David Baiada, who has worked in the company since 2002, assumed the position of CEO, and Mark Baiada became Chair of the new nonprofit’s Board of Trustees. On December 31, 2018, BAYADA officially transitioned from a family-owned, for profit company to a nonprofit organization.

In 1998, Bayada launched BAYADAbility Rehab Solutions, the a specialized in-home rehabilitative nursing program for people with catastrophic diagnoses. In 2011, Bayada launched a simulation (SIM) lab training program in-home care, subsequently offered in more than 50 locations.

. In 2013, the company bought a 26% stake in Chennai, India-based India Home Health Care (IHHC). IHCC has operations in Chennai, Bangalore Mumbai, and Trivandrum with a network of 300 nurses. Bayada has also launched IHHC’s NRI services through its offices in the US. Bayada and India Home Health Care have announced an investment of $10 million to create a pan India presence by 2016 with a team size of 3000 and revenue of $12 million. Germany In December 2015, Bayada acquired Ulrich’s Ambulante Pflege, a home health care agency based in Solingen, Germany. They provide clinical and non-clinical home care services to over 300 clients in the Solingen area. South Korea Bayada entered a joint venture partnership with Korea Home Health Care in September 2016. Under the name Bayada Home Health Care, they provide clients in Seoul with assistive care services and some RN visit services through patient support programs (PSP) and clinical trial programs (CT). Ireland Bayada partnered with Mowlam Healthcare, an Irish nursing home company with over 22 locations across Ireland, to open a Bayada Home Health Care office in Dublin in November 2016. Bayada introduced skilled home health care services to Ireland and is a leading provider of critical care pediatric services for Ireland’s public health and social services agency, Health Service Executive (HSE).
