History

The Bascharage station was opened on 8 September 1900 by the
Imperial Railways in Alsace-Lorraine The Kaiserliche Generaldirektion der Eisenbahnen in Elsaß-Lothringen or EL (English: General Directorate of the Imperial Railways in Alsace-Lorraine) were the first railways owned by the German Empire. They emerged in 1871, after France had ced ...
. The old building for travelers was destroyed after 1981. The station was entirely rebuilt and a second track added in 2010.


Passenger services

The station has no direct reception; however, it has several shelters and a parking lot. CFL trains on line 70 (Regional-Express RE and Regionalbahn RB) between Luxembourg and Pétange or Rodange or Longwy stop at the station.
