Phonology

Balangao has the following phoneme inventory: The central vowels /a/ and /ɨ/ each have a lowered and a raised allophone, viz. ~ for /a/, and ~ for /ɨ/. The voiced stops /b/, /d/ and /g/ have voiceless allophones , , in syllable position.
