The 2008 Masters Series Hamburg was a men's tennis tournament played on Clay court, outdoor clay courts. It was the 102nd edition of the International German Open, Masters Series Hamburg, and was part of the ATP Masters Series of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at the Am Rothenbaum, Rothenbaum Tennis Center in Hamburg, Germany, from 10 May through 18 May 2008.
The men's field was headlined by List of ATP number 1 ranked players, World No. 1 and 2007 Hamburg Masters, defending champion Roger Federer, 2008 Masters Series Monte-Carlo, Monte Carlo winner and 2007 Hamburg Masters, 2007 Hamburg runner-up Rafael Nadal, and 2008 Australian Open, Australian Open and 2008 Internazionali BNL d'Italia, Rome winner Novak Djokovic. Other top seeds competing were 2008 Sony Ericsson Open, Miami champion Nikolay Davydenko, 2008 Open de Tenis Comunidad Valenciana, Valencia Open winner David Ferrer, James Blake (tennis), James Blake, Richard Gasquet and Tomáš Berdych.
