. From 2000 to 2012, it was the country's fourth level. From 2013, the league was demoted to fifth level. The division is split into 4 groups of 16 teams since 2023–24 season onwards, by geographical region.

2. Liga Interregional founded in 1924, refounded in 2000 the league between 1. Liga Classic and 2. Liga.
