Thomas Odoyo
Thomas Odoyo Migai (born 12 May 1978) is a former Kenyan cricketer and a former One Day International captain. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed medium-fast bowler, often regarded as the best ever bowler produced by Kenya in international arena. International career Having represented Kenya in the 1996 World Cup, Odoyo's performances have since been critical to the team. His powerful batting throughout the middle-order and his seam bowling has led to Kenyan commentators labelling him the "Black Botham". Odoyo has since formed a bowling partnership with Martin Suji, and in 1997–98 set a then-world record One Day International (ODI) seventh-wicket stand of 119 with Suji's brother Tony. He was the first player from a non-Test nation to score 1,500 runs and take 100 wickets in ODIs. 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three
The 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three was an international cricket tournament that took place in Oman between 9 and 19 November 2018. It formed part of the 2017–19 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL) which determines the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The top two teams were promoted to the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament, and the other four teams will play in the 2019–21 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. It was the first international cricket tournament to be held in Oman. Tournament hosts Oman were the first team to be promoted to Division Two for 2019, after winning their opening four matches. 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two
2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2018 in Namibia. The United Arab Emirates won the tournament, after beating Nepal by 7 runs in the final. Canada and Namibia finished third and fourth respectively and remained in Division Two. Oman and Kenya finished fifth and sixth respectively and were both relegated to Division Three. Following Kenya's last-place finish in the tournament, their captain Rakep Patel and their coach Thomas Odoyo both resigned. Oman and Canada were the top two teams in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Uganda and were promoted as a result. Lameck Onyango Ngoche (born 22 September 1973) is a former Kenyan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Though initially not one of cricket's more successful figures, his career began a turnaround during his second year, 1997, in which he switched roles from bowler to a specialist tail-ender for the ICC Trophy. Career Since 2004 Onyango has developed into an effective bowling all-rounder and followed up his maiden first-class half century with match winning figures of 6–21 in Kenya's 2005 Intercontinental Trophy victory over Uganada. Kenya National Cricket Team
The Kenya national cricket team represents the Republic of Kenya in international cricket. Kenya is an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has Twenty20 International (T20I) status after the ICC granted T20I status to all of their members. They have been an associate member of the ICC since 1981. Since then they have played in five Cricket World Cups from 1996 to 2011 with their best result being a semi-final appearance at the 2003 Cricket World Cup in Southern Africa. Robin David Brown (born 11 March 1951) is a former Zimbabwe cricketer, playing seven One Day Internationals between 1983 and 1987. Coaching career Brown acted as Zimbabwe's assistant coach with the team during the 2007 World Cup. On 28 August 2007 Brown was appointed the national coach of Zimbabwe, taking over from Kevin Curran. The Sahara Elite League (also known as Zonal League) was a four team cricket competition created by Cricket Kenya featuring a Twenty20 tournament, a one day cricket tournament and finally a three-day cricket tournament. For the inaugural league four teams will be competing consisting of the 60 best players according to Cricket Kenya from Kenya.
