Zakir Hussain (politician)
(8 February 1897 – 3 May 1969) known as Dr. Zakir Husain, was an Indian educationist and politician who served as President of India from 13 May 1967 until his death on 3 May 1969. Born into an Afridi Pashtun family in Hyderabad, Husain studied in Etawah, the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College, Aligarh and the University of Berlin from where he obtained a doctoral degree in economics. He was a founding member of the Jamia Milia Islamia of which he served as Vice-chancellor during 1926 to 1948. He was closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi and was chairman of the Basic National Education Committee which framed a new educational policy known as Nai Talim with its emphasis on free and compulsory education in the first language. Appointed Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University in 1948, he helped retain it as a national institution of higher learning. Daasarathi Krishnamacharyulu
. Daasarathi krishnamacharya, popularly known as Daasarathi, also spelled as Daasharathi (22 July 1925 – 5 November 1987) () was a Telugu poet and writer. Daasarathi holds the titles ''Abhyudhaya kavi'' and ''Kalaprapurna''. He was also the recipient of Sahitya Academy Award for his poetic work book ''Timiramto Samaram'' (Fight against Darkness) in 1974. He was also chosen as ''Aasthana Kavi'' of the Andhra Pradesh Government. Early life Krishnamacharyulu Dasarathi was born as Daasarathi on 22 July 1925 in a middle-class Vaishnava Brahmin family. His native village Chinnaguduru is in the Maripeda Mandal, Mahabubabad district. An orthodox, but discreet, Vaishnava bhakta, he was an erudite scholar of Indian Puranas with a fine grip on Telugu, Sanskrit and Tamil languages. Kiran Rao (born 7 November 1973) is an Indian film producer, screenwriter, and director who works in Hindi cinema. In 2016, Rao co-founded Paani Foundation, a non-profit organisation working towards the mission of fighting drought in Maharashtra. ''I Am That Change'' is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language short film directed by Sukumar and produced by actor Allu Arjun on Geetha Arts. Apart from Allu Arjun, the short film features an ensemble cast of Tanishq Reddy, Vikram Chaitanya, Surya Ashrith, Trisha, Sri Varshini and Bharath Reddy. Kanneboina Srinavasa Rao Yadav, known professionally as Vandemataram Srinivas, is an Indian music director and playback singer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Shashi Preetam
Shashi Preetam is an Indian film composer, music director, singer-songwriter, musician, filmmaker and philanthropist. He rose to fame as a composer with the film Gulabi, which became one of the greatest musical hits of the Telugu film industry. Chukka Ramaiah
Chukka Ramaiah (born 20 November 1925) is an Indian educationist and member of the Telangana Legislative Council. He is famously known as "IIT Ramaiah" for teaching at IIT Study Circle, an IIT JEE coaching centre at Nallakunta, Hyderabad. He was a leading Telangana activist. Career Ramaiah fought against the feudal system in Hyderabad State that was prevalent in rural hinterland of Telangana region. He actively participated in helping the poor, and was banished by his Brahmin community for helping the dalits and the downtrodden. He joined the Mahatma Gandhi's untouchability movement and tried to reform backward sections in his village.
