Zugló
Zugló (german: Lerchenfeld) is the official name of the 14th district of Budapest ( hu, Budapest XIV. kerülete), the capital of Hungary. It is a large and mixed neighborhood, with communist era style highrise apartments sprinkled between decently kept one house residential streets. Városliget, the City Park is located at the western part of the district. Its popularity comes from the fact that it has leafy suburb style neighbourhoods closest to the city center. Geography * Area 18.15 km2 * Inhabitants: 130,000 Access to the district is easy; the southern end is easily accessible with the main M2 subway line, with its terminal station being the largest hub in the city at the border with Kőbánya. Budapesti Gyárépítők SE was a Hungarian association football club from the town of Budapest. The club was founded as Zuglói Athletikai Club in 1911. In 1950 the club merged to Budafoki MTE. History Zuglói Athletikai Club debuted in the 1922–23 season of the Hungarian League and finished ninth. In 1923 the club merged with the Zuglói VII. Kerületi SC and changed its name to Zuglói VII. BVSC Budapest
Budapesti Vasutas Sport Club-Zugló is a professional football club based in Zugló, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III. The club was founded in 1911. Its football section became closed in 2001, but has now reopened, while other sections that are still operational are table tennis, wrestling, water polo. The table tennis department won the European Cup of 1980 and several national championships. The football team reached in the years 1996 and 1997 twice the Hungarian Cup final and was runner up in the national championship in 1996. Budapest, the capital of Hungary has 23 districts ( hu, kerület), each with its own municipal government. The number of districts in Budapest Budapest was organized into 10 districts (numbered from I to X) in 1873 after the unification of the cities of Pest, Buda and Óbuda. The districts at that time: *Buda: I, II *Óbuda: III *Pest: IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X In the 1930s, 4 new districts were organized, numbered from XI to XIV. On 1 January 1950, 7 neighboring towns and 16 villages were annexed to Budapest by creating 9 new districts, so the number of its districts increased to 22. The City Park ( hu, Városliget; german: Stadtwäldchen) is a public park close to the centre of Budapest, Hungary. Csaba Horváth (born 19 November 1969) is a Hungarian politician. Biography He served as the mayor of the 2nd district of Budapest from 2002 to 2006, and as Deputy Mayor of Budapest during the last term of Mayor Gábor Demszky, between 2007 and 2009. He was elected member of the National Assembly (MP) from the Budapest Regional List of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) in 2002, holding the position until his resignation in 2010. He was the MSZP's candidate for the position of Mayor of Budapest in the 2010 municipal election, but defeated by Fidesz-candidate István Tarlós. Thereafter he became leader of the Socialists' group in the General Assembly of Budapest.
