Zapatlela
''Zapatlela '' is a Marathi cinema, Marathi horror comedy movie, which was released on 14 April 1993. It was directed by Mahesh Kothare. It was inspired from the Don Mancini's 1988 Hollywood movie ''Child's Play (1988 film), Child's Play''. It was followed by a sequel ''Zapatlela 2'', released 20 years later in 2013. Ramdas Padhye, a Ventriloquism, ventriloquist and puppeteer created the practical effects involving evil doll Tatya Vinchu. The film starring Laxmikant Berde as Laxmikant Bolke, with Mahesh Kothare as CID Inspector Mahesh Jadhav and Dilip Prabhavalkar as Tatya Vinchu. Zapatlela 2
''Zapatlela 2'' () is a Marathi horror comedy movie, which was released in 3D on 7 June 2013. It is directed by Mahesh Kothare and is the sequel to ''Zapatlela'', released 20 years previously (in 1993). ''Zapatlela 2'' is the first Marathi film shot entirely with a 3D camera. Mahesh has stated that if the film did well, it would be dubbed into Hindi and a third movie in the series could be made. Plot The film opens within the mansion of ''Baba Chamatkar'' (Raghvendra Kadkol). ''Kubdya Khavis'' has escaped from the prison and secured the doll containing the soul of gangster Tatya Vinchu (shown in the previous film, Zapatlela) and orders Baba Chamatkar to revive Tatya Vinchu again. Mahesh Kothare
Mahesh Amber Kothare (Marathi pronunciation: əɦeːʃ koʈʰaːɾe born 28 September 1953) is an Indian film actor, director and producer of Marathi and Hindi films. He started his acting career as child artist. Kothare acted in well-known movies such as ''Raja Aur Runk'', ''Chhota Bhai'', ''Mere Laal'', and ''Ghar Ghar ki Kahani''. Adinath Kothare (born 13 May 1984) is an Indian actor, producer, and director, who predominantly works in Marathi films. Dilip Prabhavalkar (born 4 August 1944) is an Indian Marathi actor, director, playwright and author. He has a career spanning over four decades in Hindi and Marathi theatre, television and movies.
