Yeoju Line
The Gyeonggang Line (경강선) is a rail line in South Korea, which at present comprises two distinct sections. The first one, which opened on September 24, 2016, is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and runs from the city of Seongnam to Yeoju City, partially coinciding with the route of the former narrow-gauge Suryeo Line. The second section, which is located entirely in Gangwon Province, runs between Gangneung and Wonju and opened on December 22, 2017, in anticipation of the 2018 Winter Olympics. This section of the line offers KTX service from Seoul, through the Jungang Line. In the future, the two sections are to be connected, and the Gyeonggang Line will be extended westwards to Siheung. Seongnam
Seongnam () is the fourth largest city in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province after Suwon and the 10th largest city in the country. Its population is approximately one million. Seongnam is a satellite city of Seoul. It is largely a residential city located immediately southeast of Seoul and belongs to the Seoul Capital Area. Yeongdong Line
The Yeongdong Line is a line of Korail. It connects Yeongju in North Gyeongsang Province with Gangneung in Gangwon Province. From Yeongju, it crosses the Taebaek Mountains and reaches the Sea of Japan (East Sea) at Donghae, thence proceeding north to Gangneung. At Yeongju, the line connects with the Gyeongbuk and Jungang Lines. Some trains travel directly from one to the other, so that it is possible to travel directly from Seoul or Busan to Gangneung by rail. History Construction The first section of the line (Mukho Port–Dogye) was opened by the privately owned Samcheok Railway on 31 July 1940. The line was named Cheoram Line, which ran from Mukho, a port on Korea's east coast that became part of Donghae in 1980, to Cheoram in the Taebaek Mountains, to develop three coal fields. National Route 7 () is a national highway in South Korea. It connects Busan with Goseong in Gangwon Province. Before the division of the Korean Peninsula, the highway ran until Onsong, North Hamgyong Province, in present-day North Korea. Donghae Expressway
Donghae Expressway () is an expressway in South Korea, connecting Busan to Sokcho. It is numbered 65 and it is planned to eventually extend all the way along the east coast to Haeundae, Busan. Its current length is , and It is part of the Asia Highway Route 6. Jinbu(Odaesan) station is a railway station in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang, South Korea. It is served by the Gangneung Line and is located near Odaesan National Park and the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium. Wonju Airport
Wonju Airport is an airport in Hoengseong County, Gangwon province, South Korea . During the Korean War it was designated K-46 (Hoengseong Air Base) by the United States Air Force. In 2011, 70,943 passengers used the airport, which is mainly for military use. Only one parking position is large enough for a Boeing 737-900. The airport has a daily scheduled flight two times, currently operated by Jin Air to Jeju. Because Wonju Airport is sharing with military, taking photograph or video of apron, runway and military facility is strictly prohibited. Wonju Airport's passenger terminal is 1.5 km from the airport runway, requiring passengers to take a shuttle (about 20 minutes) to their aircraft.
