Wendy Hughes
Wendy Hughes (29 July 19528 March 2014) was an Australian actress known for her work in theatre, film and television. Her career spanned more than forty years and established her reputation as one of Australia's finest and most prolific actors. In her later career she acted in '' Happy New Year'' along with stars Peter Falk and Charles Durning. In 1993 she played Dr. Carol Blythe, M. E. in '' Homicide: Life on the Street.'' In the late 1990s, she starred in '' State Coroner'' and '' Paradise Road.'' Career Born in Melbourne, Australia to English-born parents, Hughes originally studied to become a ballerina but during her teenage years she turned her focus to acting and later graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and, after honing her skills with the Melbourne Theatre Company, had her first film role in ''Petersen'' (1974). David Williamson
David Keith Williamson AO (born 24 February 1942) is an Australian dramatist and playwright. He has also written screenplays and teleplays. Early life David Williamson was born in Melbourne, Victoria, on 24 February 1942, and was brought up in Bairnsdale. He initially studied mechanical engineering at the University of Melbourne from 1960, but left and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1965. His early forays into the theatre were as an actor and writer of skits for the Engineers' Revue at Melbourne University's Union Theatre at lunchtime during the early 1960s, and as a satirical sketch writer for Monash University student reviews and the Emerald Hill Theatre Company. ''Careful, He Might Hear You'' is a 1983 Australian drama film. It is based on the 1963 novel of the same name by Australian-American author Sumner Locke Elliott. Plot The film stars Wendy Hughes and Robyn Nevin as two sisters who are locked in a custody battle over their young nephew, PS, played by Nicholas Gledhill. PS has been raised by his aunt Lila (Nevin) and her husband George since his mother died soon after his birth.
