Vistas High School Program
Vistas High School Program is an alternative public high school program based in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States, and part of the Klein Independent School District. Vistas serves grades 9 through 12. The program has a Houston, Texas mailing address but is not located in the Houston city limits. The Director is Peggy Ekster. Academics Vistas was created to provide resources for students who are at risk of not graduating, so they can work at an accelerated pace to complete high school. Only students who have spent a semester in a regular high school program are eligible for enrollment. Each student receives a wireless laptop; students may take on-line courses and/or complete a course in less time than at a traditional school. Faculty and students are screened to ensure a willingness to work as part of a team focused on the possibility of graduation for each student. Victoria Vistas
The Victoria Vistas were a professional soccer team based in Victoria, British Columbia that competed in the original Canadian Soccer League. The Vistas joined the CSL for the 1989 season and folded after the 1990 season. Victoria All-star teams had been competitive with league champion Vancouver 86ers teams in pre-season contests during previous years. History The Vistas joined the Canadian Soccer League as an expansion team for the 1989 season, forming a natural rivalry with the Vancouver 86ers. The Vistas were coached by Brian Hughes (until August 1) and former Canadian national team captain Bruce Wilson, with Buzz Parsons serving as general manager. The Vistas struggled in their inaugural season, winning only 4 of their 26 matches, finishing last in their division. They released the single "Retrospect" in May 2018. Their debut EP, ''Hello'' was released on 26 July 2019. They released "Teenage Blues" on 26 November 2019 as the lead single from their debut studio album. "Sucker" was re-released as second single from their debut studio album.
