Tübingen (, , Swabian: ''Dibenga'') is a traditional university city in central Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated south of the state capital, Stuttgart, and developed on both sides of the Neckar and Ammer rivers. about one in three of the 90,000 people living in Tübingen is a student. Neckar
The Neckar () is a river in Germany, mainly flowing through the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg, with a short section through Hesse. The Neckar is a major right tributary of the Rhine. Boris Palmer
Boris Erasmus Palmer (born 28 May 1972) is a German politician and former member of the Green Party. He has been mayor of Tübingen since January 2007. From March 2001 to May 2007, he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag, the State parliament in Stuttgart. Palmer's controversial positions have cost him the support of his party in the 2020 municipal elections, and a process to oust him from party ranks was started the following year. Ammer (Neckar)
The Ammer () is a small river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a tributary of the Neckar. It has its source southwest of Herrenberg. Along the southern edge of the Schönbuch, it flows through Herrenberg, Ammerbuch, Unterjesingen and Tübingen, before it discharges into the Neckar at Tübingen-Lustnau after . Geography Course Origin of the Ammer are Ammer springs in the upper valley five spring pots southwest of Herrenberg in the district of Böblingen. Tübingen is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the middle of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Böblingen, Reutlingen, Zollernalbkreis and Freudenstadt. History The district dates back to the ''Oberamt Tübingen'' in the state of Württemberg. In 1811 the ''Oberamt Rottenburg'' was created, and both were converted into districts in 1934. In 1938 most of the district Rottenburg as well as a few municipalities from the district Herrenberg and Reutlingen were added to the district Tübingen. Steinlach
The Steinlach is a river with a length of in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a tributary to the Neckar. It has its source in the ''Eckenbachgraben'', a gap in the Swabian Alb mountain range. The source is on the territory of the town of Mössingen, on an elevation of above sea level. The Steinlach flows into a northerly direction.
