''True Romance'' is a 1993 American romantic crime film directed by Tony Scott and written by Quentin Tarantino. Anthony David Leighton Scott (21 June 1944 – 19 August 2012) was an English film director and producer. Slow motion (commonly abbreviated as slo-mo or slow-mo) is an effect in film-making whereby time appears to be slowed down. It was invented by the Austrian priest August Musger in the early 20th century.
