''The Next Me'' () is the debut Mandarin solo EP by Aaron Yan of Taiwanese Mandopop quartet boy band Fahrenheit. It was released by HIM International Music on 25 March 2011 with pre-orders available from 11 March 2011. The Japanese edition was released on 15 June 2011 by Pony Canyon, which included the Japanese version of title track " zh, t=下一個我, labels=no" (The Next Me). The EP consists of five songs and one instrumental track performed by Yan. Aaron Yan
Aaron Yan (, born Wu Keng-lin on 20 November 1985) is a Taiwanese actor, singer, television host and businessman. He was also one of the members of Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit. Life and career 1985–2005: Early life and career beginnings Yan was born as Wu Keng-lin in Taipei, Taiwan on 20 November 1985. When he was very young, he and his family moved to Connecticut, United States, where he lived for five years, and then moved back to Taiwan. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after " Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. HIM International Music () is a Taiwanese independent record label and artist management company established in 1999. It was previously known as Grand Music International Inc. (宇宙國際音樂股份有限公司). It is an International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) member record company. History HIM International Music started off as two different labels, Grand Music and Tiger Music. Taiwanese People
Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue. Boy Band
A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Generally, boy bands perform love songs marketed towards girls and young women. Many boy bands dance as well as sing, usually giving highly choreographed performances. Tank (Taiwanese Singer)
Lü Jianzhong 呂建中 (born 6 February 1982), better known by his stage name Tank, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter. He is currently signed to HIM International Music. His debut album, ''Fighting'' (; ''Fighting, The Law of Surviving'') was released on 23 February 2006. His latest album, ''The 3rd Round'', was released on 31 May 2009. Olivia Ong
Olivia Ong (; born ) is a Singaporean singer and actress. The majority of her works are in Mandarin Chinese, but she has also recorded songs in English, Cantonese and Japanese. In her early days, her entertainment career focused on singing jazz covers, but she has since moved on to Mandarin pop. Early life After completion of her O-level examinations at Damai Secondary School in Singapore, Ong moved to Japan to further her studies as well as her career as a solo artist.
