Susanna Kwan
Susanna Kwan Kuk-ying (born May 3, 1958) is a Hong Kong singer and actress. Background She has recently been an actress for a number of TVB shows. Her nickname is "Big Doll" or "Small Sworn Mother" (as her performance in Wong Sau-kum of ''Heart of Greed''). She had been married to Michael Lai Siu-tin followed by a divorce. From February 5, 1990 to 2005, she lived in Canada. She returned to Hong Kong after TVB invited her to be the host of a singing program. In July 2015, Kwan ended her eight-year relationship with TVB. Hong Kong was a colony and later a dependent territory of the British Empire from 1841 to 1997, apart from a period of occupation under the Japanese Empire from 1941 to 1945 during the Pacific War. Michael Kwan Ching-kit is a Hong Kong Cantopop singer previously with the Philips label (the brand Polygram was not adopted until later in Hong Kong), and later with EMI. His back catalogue (1986–1988) continues to be published by Universal Music Group. He retired his music career in 1988 and now works as an architect in Seattle, United States, with his wife and son. Biography Kwan was born in 1949 in Hong Kong, he attended St. Paul's Co-educational College and graduated in 1969. He was admitted in the University of Hong Kong in the same year and later graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Architecture. Kwan practiced architecture full-time after graduation and founded his practice in 1983. His wife is also an architect. ''Maidens' Vow'' (Traditional Chinese: 鳳凰四重奏) is a TVB drama series broadcast in August 2006. It won acclaim for its unique format of depicting four different generations of the same lineage but which have very few cross-generational interactions. Charmaine Sheh Sze-man (; born 28 May 1975) is a Hong Kong actress. After winning second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong pageant, Sheh signed a contract with TVB in 1998. She is best known for her roles in ''Return of the Cuckoo'' (2000), '' War and Beauty'' (2004), ''Maidens' Vow'' (2006), '' Forensic Heroes II'' (2008), ''Beyond the Realm of Conscience'' (2009), ''Can't Buy Me Love'' (2010), '' When Heaven Burns'' (2011), '' Line Walker'' (2014), and ''Story of Yanxi Palace'' (2018).
